Another shoot I just wasn’t into. The concept itself was brilliant. Alice in Wonderland reimagined in corsets. The designs were some of the most creative I’ve seen in a while. The colors, the textures, and the shapes really pushed the theme into something unique. On paper, it should have been a dream to shoot.
But I think I’m definitely burnt out. The spark just wasn’t there for me. Maybe it’s the repetition of being in studios. Or the constant setup and teardown. Or the pace I’ve been keeping these past few months. Whatever it is, I could feel myself going through the motions rather than being present with the camera.
Don’t get me wrong. The team did an amazing work. And I have no doubt the photographs will turn out beautifully. But personally, I need a reset. I need to step away from these heavily styled, indoor shoots for a bit and get back to something simpler. I need the sun back in my life. Natural light and open spaces. And the kind of inspiration that only comes when you’re outside chasing it.
