And not long after my first shoot back, I jumped into another one. October being what it is, of course the theme was Halloween. Darker looks, dramatic makeup, costumes with just the right amount of flair. It all came together into that October vibe.

There were a number of models at this shoot. One of them looked familiar, like someone I’d met years ago, back when was just starting out. I never got the chance to talk to her, so I’ll never know for sure if it was the same person or just a coincidence.

But one particular model stood out to me more than the rest. She had this distinct look that drew me in. Not just photogenic, but interesting in a way that makes you want to see what else she can bring to a frame. I found myself paying more attention to her, and I’d love the chance to work with her again.

As luck would have it, I might actually get that chance. I’ve got a few free days before “adulting” pulls me back into the grind. Maybe I’ll reach out and see if we can line something up. Shoots like this remind me why I keep coming back to photography. It’s the people. And the way a single face can make you want to pick up the camera all over again.
